  • "The Sinking Process" (ReCyClor) CDr album (SOLD OUT)
Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

The first official release by ReCyClor, originally schedules for a 1999-2000-2001 release but original master tapes and 4-track porta-studio were lost/damaged, and the album was never released... until NOW!

Originally released on CDr in 2014 using second generation 1/4 inch tapes salvaged by Frank Zen, this is not the album as it was originally conceived but for the purposes of presenting the first ReCyClor album, it was deemed necessary to cull all material found from the era to represent the project's sound at the turn of the century/millenium, and meant to offer a reference point to what would come later...

**** CD version is now SOLD OUT ***

about

Recorded between 1997 and 2000, with an original release date planned for 2001, but the loss of original 4-track tapes and the 4-track porta-studio meant most original ReCyClor material Schedule for this release were lost.

Luckily, Frank Zen had acquired 1/4inch mixed second-generation master tapes of the piece "The Sinking Process", as well as two versions of "Master Bastard", which were originally commisioned for a noise compilation.

Frank also unearthed a ReCyClor jame which he entitled "Toasterized", and Lx found a half-eaten poor quality tape featuring a short test run-through of some of the portions for "The Sinking Process", which was re-baptized as "The Dubbing Process".

This is NOT how the original album was supposed to end up being.

The sound quality suffers from second generation cassette "masters".

At the very least, this version of "The Sinking Process" (album) serves as some kind of testimony to what ReCyClor sounded like at the turn of the century/millenium.

The original idea was to release this version of "The SInking Process" (album) before any subsequent ReCyClor releases to present the evolution of the project's ongoing metamorphing sound.

Alas, most original recordings (backing materials) by Lx ended up lost in the ether of a closed down cloud website, and the equivalent of about 3-5 album backgrounds was lost forever.

For this release, ReCyClor was:

Frank Zen: voices, noises
Lx Wheill: electronics, manipulations
with:
Atmospheh-rhycxx: additional electronics
special mention to Simon Sinistar (RIP) who also was working on morcels of contributions for ReCyClor.
