about

As there were too many pièces to be released on the original "Live From Planet Skaro" album, Lx recorded a few other pièces (including the "Pik Nik Electronik" fest) and released a second album using the same concept - all tracks written and performed live at various locations around the general Montréal area between 2012 and 2014, without any overdubs whatsoever.

"Stratosphere Decent (The Invasion Begins)" was originally supposed to be a piece on "Live From Planet Skaro" but the introductory piece was already established, so this one was pushed back on this release to serve and a slow build-up to the rest of the album.

"Chemical Pollution Of The Thals (Slow, Hard)" was originally just a warm-up track but it had enough of a unique feel and was conceived in the same way as the rest of the album, so it was included on the final release.

"PikNik Elektronik" was inspired by a Sunday afternoon on the island where the general vibe prooved most perfect as a backdrop to this piece. Also available as a streaing file on the Wreck Age Recs Soundcloud page.

"D5-Gamma-Z-Alpha" is one of the generally stable tracks which was performed an incalculate amount of times, often as a tribute to Kraftwerk. This version is, like all versions performed, unique.

"The Emperor`s New Beat Breakdown" was generally considered a fluke and maybe even an out-take as it served mostly as an exercise in style over substance, but it was included on the album nonetheless for prosterity`s sake.

"Dalazar (Remember)" another staple piece which is also quite unconventional for D.F.S. but has been regularly performed since 2012 up until it's last recorded performances, which closes out this album.
