about

After a couple of unsuccesful "returns" (the tragically unfinished and unreleased "Phase 2: Recloned" and the equally unreleased "Threat To The Human Race"), Lx decided to once again re-invent the D.F.S. by releasing not one but two albums of live, raw, unpolished songs with a focus on starger techno-oid-ish mutations. Work on the album began in 2012 and final recordings were layed down on 2014.

"S. I. N. E (Us)" was always to be the introductory track to the album as it`s rather un-D.F.S. sound would essentially lay down the path to what would follow. It was amongst one of the first of these new tracks to be performed live in any manner.

"Dalek Invasion Of Earth" was recorded after a few rehersals but this version served as the one kept for the album release. It also serves as a "twin" of sorts to the opener of the other album, "More From Planet Skaro"

"Xeviously Tenacious" was recorded live in a metro (Subway) performance, and is considered as the first "single" released from the album. The infamous cloud crash which plagued ReCyClor (see info for "The Sinking Process" and "Aborted Before Baptism") also claimed this track, however a version was recorded as an MP3 track which made it possible to salvage it to this release!

"Symetriko Rejekto (Minimal Archangel Mix)" was a different exercise which would also inspire other tracks from the twin album "More From Planet Skaro". It was reworked into a more ambient and experimental vibe for this album version.

"Molecular Organic Basis (Mutos)" was more of a warm-up exercise but this version captured live (a Lucky recording!) warranted enough to be placed on this album!

"Twelfth Planet From The Sun" was both meant as a warm-up jam/gig as well as a "start-up" piece to various sets, but was always sandwitched between other tracks, hence it`s inclusion here (in it`s shortest version, if you can believe that!) towards the tail-end opf the album. Maybe as a preview of the next D.F.S. album?

"Rise Of Planet Skaro" had numerous versions, variants, remixes and whatnot, but this is the version which was considered the better one to be used as the "exit" piece for the album. One remix made it to "Skaro's Last Stand" as it was a rather extreme makeover of this version.

As mentionned, do check out "More From Planet Skaro" for more of these period recordings!
